Two fantastic days in the rainforest and rafting My girlfriend and I did two days of tours with raft Amazonia. The first day was the jungle tour near misuailli with Jose, it was a great day and fantastic to hear the knowledge from a kichwa man who grew up learning of the uses of traditional plants and medicines from his community, we seem lots of wild birds and animals in the rainforest and later went to the kichwa village for a lovely local lunch followed by a demonstration of how chicha is traditionally made and then we joined in a traditional dance with the community, it was a great insight into their culture. The second day, we decided to try out the rafting along with seeing the pools and waterfalls, we were with Jose and Leonardo for this. The quick tour of the waterfalls was class, an incredibly beautiful area, and we were able to swim in pristine pools by ourselves, surrounded by colourful butterflies. The rafting was great fun and at a good level for us, it was challenging but felt very safe at all times with Leonardo in charge. It was our first time rafting and was a fantastic introduction, another great touch was the fact that we were accompanied by another young lad on a kayak from their community who took great photos of the rafting. The lads were all very friendly and went out of their way to make the experience as good as possible for us, from the food on the rafting trip, to teaching us phrases in their native kichwa to lifting us and dropping us off at our hotel each day.

Fantastische Dschungel-Tagestour mit Übernachtung Während unserer 4 Wochen in Ecuador fanden wir auch zwei Tage Zeit, Tena zu besuchen. Spontan haben wir uns für diese Reiseagentur entschieden und wählten nach kurzer Beratung die eintägige Dschungeltour mit Übernachtung in dem Hotel vor Ort. Für die Kurzleser: Tour mit Guide José: 5 Sterne! Hotel: 5 Sterne! Dadurch, dass wir innerhalb der Woche unterwegs waren, bestand unsere Gruppe nur aus unserer Familie (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder, 9 und 13 Jahre). Mit Guide José lernten wir auf unserer Tour durch den Dschungel nicht nur zahreiche Pfanzen kennen, wir lernten auch grundlegende Begriffe in Kichwa (nicht Quechua!) Unsere Tour führte uns an drei Wasserfällen vorbei. Gut ausgerüstet, die Kinder gesichert für schwierigere Stellen. Wir folgten bergauf einem Fluß und gingen nahezu die gesamte Zeit in seinem Flussbett. Eine tolle Strecke! Eine atemberabende Natur! Ich liebe den Dschungel! Die zweite Hälfte der rund 4 1/2 stündigen Tour ging es dann durchs Grün. Lange Zeit gingen wir auf dem Rücken eines Bergkamms, links und rechts nur Dschungel, soweit das auge reicht! Am Schluss ging es steil bergab und wir standen nahezu direkt vor unserem Hotel!!! Um zu erzählen, was wir alles erlebt haben, reicht der Platz nicht. Diese unbeschreiblichen Eindrücke muss jeder selbst sammeln. Das Hotel, welches wirklich am Rande unserer Zivilisation liegt, hat uns sehr überrascht. Sogar mit Internet 🙂 Wir wurden bestens verpflegt und umsorgt. Das Essen war einmalig lecker! Am Abend schauten Affen vorbei, die die nächstegelegen Bananen besuchten. Besonderes Lob an unseren Guide José: "Alles super!", stets sicher geführt, tolle Dinge erklärt, ich vermisse ihn :)!! Ich kann euch diese Tour einfach nur empfehlen! Derspäte nachmittag kann übrigens optional gestaltet werden. Wir waren auf Goldsuche (leider erfolglos) doch würde ich auch diese auch beim nächsten Mal wählen. Als Familienvater: Die Tour war für unsere Jungs gut zu schaffen. Es ist kein Spaziergang! Hier wird man schon gefordert! Es war einfach nur toll! Wir kommen wieder!

Cachondas y profesionales Unos guias geniales , que fueron José Nixon y Emerson .... un trato divertido y profesional unas cascadas impresionantes y un rafting impresionante en un río Virgen a través de la selva.... Hemos hecho mucho rasting alrededor del mundo y este es uno de los mejores , sin duda... Al final ,incluido , nos las llevaron a comer a un sitio típico y probamos unos gusanos llamados chontacuro Qué son como pollo dulce.... Divertido de principio a fin

Absolutely amazing experience. DO IT! My wife and I did a day kayaking in double kayak, we had Gregorio (Tootie) as our instructor/guide, with Leonandro (Fruitie) driver and 2 other experienced instructors alongside us in the river, as support. The safety briefing and instruction was 1st class. My wife was extremely nervous and not a strong swimmer. We had only kayaked on calm water prior to this. We could not have been in safer hands. Completely out of our comfort zones, it was one of the best experiences of our lives and a highlight of our time in Ecuador. This a Kichwa company. All the staff were thoroughly professional, with great senses of humour. Lunch was served by the lovely ladies, in the Kichwa Village, on the side of the river. It was delicious and consisted of fresh tilapia fish, cooked in a leaf and served with yucca, with it was delicious. An adrenaline packed, fun filled day that we will never forget. We were so impressed that we booked a tour of the Rainforest, for the following day, We were picked up at our hostel, again by Tootie and Fruitie, before spending the day, canoeing and walking in the rainforest. A really nice experience. Although this is not the deep, southern amazon, it did give us a good insight to the Amazon and was a good alternative, if like us you do not have time for a full Amazon trip. Both guides were informative and spotted creatures that we would never have seen on our own. Another delicious lunch, freshly prepared at the village of an Amazonian Tribe, in Misahualli, where we were entertained, this was an interesting and entertaining cultural visit, followed by a short water taxi ride to Monkey Island and time to stop to buy souvenirs. We thoroughly enjoyed the day.

GREAT Experience! We did both the Jatunyacu/Napo (class 3) and the Jondachi/Hollins (class 4) rafting trips with Gregory and Leandro. Both trips were amazing, but the Jodachi/Hollins was spectacular with scenery and great rapids. Gregory was a fantastic guide. He is a world whitewater competitor and has represented Ecuador in many world competitions. He also has 20+ years whitewater guide experience. We felt completely safe under his guidance. He has a fun sense of humor and much knowledge of the local history and plants and animals that he shared throughout our journeys. We thoroughly enjoyed our rafting excursions with Rafting Amazonia! Highly recommend!

Do this!! Spent a week in Ecuador and by far this was the best experience. Loved our guides, Gregorio and El Tigre. The gourmet lunch was amazing in the village. The water was exciting with lots of waves. You have so many river options. Reasonably priced. They took 300+ photos and shared with us for free. An unforgettable experience.
